Higher National Certificate in Business (HNC)
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business is an innovative and flexible part-time course, which enables individuals to follow a higher educational experience, studying a wide range of business-related topics.
The course is taught by highly qualified Trainers, who hold a wealth of industry experience which brings the course to life. The HNC in Business offers great opportunities for career progression as well as providing a sound basis for further study, for example through the Foundation or Honours Degree in Leadership and Management.

Assessment will be in the form of assignments - there are no formal examinations.

As the programme is based at Level 4, successful completion of the Higher National Certificate will provide module exemptions on follow up courses, such as the Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management.
There are no formal entry requirements or age restrictions. However in order to be considered for a Higher Apprenticeship you must be working in a managerial or senior administration role, either full-time or part-time. Further eligibility criteria may apply.
The cost of the HNC is £2,000+ vat and registration for Chamber members and £2,200+vat and registration for non Chamber Members. This course is also available as part of a Higher Apprenticeship. The cost of the HNC as part of a Higher Apprenticeship is £900+vat and registration for Chamber members and £1,000+vat and registration for non Chamber members.
