  • To give support to other personnel in the Nursery;

  • Liaise with Parents and Carers sharing information about their child’s development;
  • Where required attend College and complete assignments on time.

Desired qualifications

A good standard of education in Maths and English is required.

GCSE Maths and English will provide exemptions from Functional Skills.

Future prospects

A desire to continue with training and education.  Can progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Early Years Educator.

You will be subject to a DBS (Criminal Record Check) for this post and must be able to obtain two references. 

Daily Duties

Duties include:

  • To help create an engaging and caring early learning environment for young children;
  • Supporting children to learn through play;
  • To work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop;
  • Helping to develop day to day routines;
  • Creating and setting up fun activities to engage children in learning;
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
