Job Description
Spencer, Gardner, Dickens Ltd based in Coventry is looking to hire an Accountancy Apprentice to join their small and friendly team. As an Accountancy Apprentice you will learn the key skills to bookkeeping, preparation of year end accounts, communicating with clients, review VAT returns, financial analysis and tax planning.

Daily Duties
• Working under the daily instruction of the Finance Team Leaders and Managers.
• Bookkeeping – processing daily transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with procedures
• Escalating any errors; omissions; risks and unusual issues promptly and effectively
• Assisting in regular reconciliations, highlighting any issues promptly and effectively
• Supporting the implementation of change to improve efficiencies and reporting to meet the strategic needs of the business
• Ensuring accounting policies are consistently applied
• With support, assisting colleagues with ad hoc projects and queries
• Assisting with internal year end audit as required and finalising year end accounts
