Management & Team Leader Apprenticeships

Management and leadership skills have a major impact on the development, productivity and performance of organisations of all sizes and across all sectors of the economy.  Proven competence in leading individuals and teams, effective decision making, change management and financial management and control are essential qualities of a successful manager. In today’s fast-moving, competitive environment there is a need to perform the best, deliver a return on investment and make a difference.

Intermediate and advanced apprenticeships are ideal for individuals taking their first steps into line management and for those who have management responsibilities and would like to extend their skills and knowledge. Higher level apprenticeships in management are aimed at middle managers with responsibility for substantial programmes and resources. It develops skills in strategic planning, strategic change and business process design alongside core leadership and management abilities.

Team Leader apprenticeships are available at intermediate (level 2), management advanced apprenticeships are available at level 3 and higher apprenticeships at level 5. We provide comprehensive advice and guidance to ensure individuals are matched to the most appropriate level, given their experience and job role.

Individuals will gain a Diploma in Team Leading or Management as well as qualifications in Maths and English, which are core aspects of an apprenticeship programme.

A Team Leader apprenticeship at level 2 will take approximately 12 months to complete; with a following 18 months to achieve the advanced apprenticeship at level 3 and 18 months for the higher apprenticeship.

There are no mandatory entry requirements. The level is determined by an assessment of the individual’s job role.
