Advent Calendars Appeal to Support Local Children

Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training is supporting an advent calendar appeal for Coventry children who are living in hostels, domestic violence units, and temporary accommodation.
According to Child Poverty Action Group, a UK charity that works to alleviate poverty and social exclusion, there are 4.2 million children living in poverty in the UK which is 30% of children or nine in a classroom of 30. The Government has focused on making work pay, but 72% of children growing up in poverty live in a household where at least one person is in employment.
Employment Support for Young People

Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training is working in partnership with Coventry City Council as part of a number of European Social Fund (ESF) projects, a series of opportunities to support young people in Coventry to access the skills needed for their journey into employment, education, or training.
