Don't forget - Government Apprenticeship Incentive Ends 31st May 2021
Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training is urging employers to take advantage of the Government’s incentive scheme for new apprentices before it concludes at the end of May 2021.
Commenting on the apprenticeship incentive scheme, Sally Lucas, Executive Director at Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training said: “From August 2020 to March 2021, any employer who hired a new apprentice aged between the ages of 16-24 will receive a payment of £2,000.
“In addition, employers looking to hire apprentices between 25 and over will also receive £1,500. This payment is in addition to the existing £1,000 from the Government to help employers meet the needs of some groups of apprentices in the workplace. Employers must apply for this incentive by 31st May 2021 if their apprentice started between August 2020 and March 2021.
“For apprentices who join organisations from 1st April 2021, the incentive payments have been increased for hiring a new apprentice. Employers could receive £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1st April 2021 to 30 September 2021.
