Get rid of your skills gaps through apprenticeships

Do you want to create business growth? The solution is simple! Ensure your people have the right skills and knowledge. Apprenticeships are a great way of closing skills gaps, enabling your workforce to thrive and be highly productive.

Whether you employ someone new or upskill existing members of the team, an apprenticeship is an effective way to grow talent, and develop a motivated and skilled workforce who can make a real difference to business performance.

Available in a wide range of industry sectors, apprenticeships have something for everyone. Depending on the job role, there are different levels of apprenticeships starting at level 2 for those new to a role, progressing to levels 3, 4 and 5 as the job role and responsibilities build. An apprentice starts at the level which matches the job and the team at Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training can offer advice and guidance to pinpoint the most appropriate apprenticeship. They also assist employers with their apprenticeship recruitment needs as well as support employers to identify how existing staff could benefit from skills development.

Employers can access up to 100% government funding to cover the costs of apprenticeship training and assessment. Depending on the apprenticeship in question, this can be worth up to £27,000. In addition, for any employer recruiting a new apprentice aged 16 to 18 or 19 to 25 with an education, health care plan can get a further £1,000 grant to pay towards the support costs of a younger recruit.

The range of apprenticeship opportunities is vast.

  • Accountancy at levels 2, 3, 4 and 7
  • Business Administration at level 3
  • Customer Service at levels 2 and 3
  • Management at levels 3 and 5
