A Caring Way to a Bright Future - Emma Bull (Bright Horizons)

Emma Bull is an outstanding children’s care Advanced Apprentice, having successfully progressed from an Intermediate Apprenticeship which she achieved in 12 months. Working in a busy setting, Emma is the key worker for a number of children, taking responsibility for the assessment and planning for their development.  She uses her effective communication skills to build strong and positive relationships with children and parents/carers.

She has an important role within the team, supporting colleagues especially those new into the organisation to ensure the unit operates efficiently and effectively to create the best outcomes for all children. As an Advanced Apprentice, Emma has developed an in-depth understanding of early year’s education and care and fulfils the role of key worker to a high standard. She has a clear career pathway in mind, with ambitions to become a Paediatric Nurse.

Emma was thrilled to be a finalist in the Coventry & Warwickshire Apprentice of the Year Awards in 2016 (Children’s Care category) and was delighted to be named as the winning apprentice. As a highly motivated young person, she takes great pride in delivering high standards in the workplace; encouraging the development of junior staff and leading by example.

Following her Advanced Apprenticeship she intends to progress on into Higher Education. She has her sights set on becoming a paediatric nurse, continuing her ambition journey.
