Are You Supporting Mental Health Awareness in your Workplace?

Mental Health Week 13th-19th May 2019 has further addressed an increasing need for businesses to create the structures and gain the skills required to support their staff with their mental wellbeing.

Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training has successfully developed a practical training solution at the beginning of the year to equip employers with the skills and understanding to effectively manage the range of mental health problems that now commonly arise in the workplace.

Sally Lucas, Executive Director at Chamber Training commented: “According to the Office of National Statistics stress, depression and anxiety are now the largest reason for workplace absence. The number of days taken off for mental health problems soars by 25% year on year.

“Mental health problems can be extremely complex and our three day level 2 accredited course can help businesses to support people with mental health issues, ensure those individuals have the right mechanisms in place to lead full and rewarding working lives – a win-win for the individual and the business.

"The three day course has been designed around latest research findings, and contains highly practical approaches to identifying mental health issues and creating the infrastructure to support individuals to improve their health. An added bonus is it also leads to a level 2 qualification, national accreditation for the skills and knowledge gained.  So, it's a win-win situation for the individual and the employer."

Chamber Training's Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Awareness course is fully booked in May, but the next session runs on 9th, 16th and 23rd September and again on 4th, 11th and 18th November 2019.  Book your places today at http://www.cw-chambertraining.co.uk/employers/courses/short-courses/management-essentials/mental-health-awareness-level-2/
